One of the hotels, with 163 rooms and 6,038 m², with parking, is located near Marquês de Pombal square. The Hotusa group will manage the real estate, which is due to open next August.
Also in development is a second hotel near to Saldanha, with 4,743 m², 130 rooms and also with parking, to be inaugurated in the first quarter of next year. It will also be transactioned by Hotusa.
Rabobank owns both assets. The partnership with Xpandia foresees that the Bank will advance with the assets, and the Spanish company with its development. Now the two assets should be sold together, being the Marquês de Pombal hotel valued at €22.2 million and Saldanha's at €17.7 million, a price per square meter of 3,700 m2 outside the parking lot.
As EjePrime reports, CBRE is in charge of the commercialization of these assets, whose main stakeholders should be international funds, insurance companies or family offices.
The purpose is to develop 800 rooms in the next 3 years
Xpandia wants to continue betting on the Portuguese market, and is closing the acquisition of new lands and assets in Lisbon, and does not confirm a new partnership with Rabobank.
The bet should focus on the prime area of Lisbon, as company sources confirmed to the same Spanish newspaper. The purpose of three years is to develop 800 rooms in the Portuguese capital alone. It follows Oporto, where the company is studying several options for new projects.
