One of the units is called The Loftown, it is located in Barcelona’s historical centre and it offers 78 rooms and 140 beds. The other student residence is called Collblanc and it will offer 128 rooms.
Whereas the first student residence has already been operating for several years and will thus generate immediate revenues, the second is still being developed and is expected to open in 2021, according to Idealista.
With this transaction, Xior’s portfolio has a total of 3 student residences located in Barcelona. Its first operation was carried out in September and it concerned a student residence located at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
Besides these student residences, the company also has one unit in Madrid, one in Lisbon and another in Porto and it recently acquired a portfolio managed by Portuguese U.Hub for 130 million euro which includes 6 student residences located in Lisbon and Porto.
These operations fit the company’s mid-term plans which are, according to PropertyEU, to invest 250 million euro in Iberia.
