With this operation, Vía Célere becomes the largest residential real estate developer in Spain, with a Gross Asset Value (GAV) estimated at 2.203 million euro. The company informs that it has, starting today, the ability to deliver an estimated 2.000 dwellings in 2019 and 5.000 dwellings in 2021.
This transaction, reinforces Vía Célere’s position in the Spanish residential market. According to Juan Antonio Gómez-Pintado, who will remain president of the company, «Vía Célere has always been a reference in the sector and, after closing this operation, it is an even bigger reference. Furtehrmore, after integrating Aelca’s assets, we start a new period where we want to keep pushing our values: innovation, focus on the client, sustainability and corporate social responsibility».
With this operation, Värde now owns 75% of Vía Célere’s shares, while the remaining small shareholders (Marathon, Attestor, BAML, Barclays, DB and JPM), own the remaining 25%. The company also reinforces the diversification of its portfolio with 38% in Madrid, 20% in Malaga, 11% in Barcelona, 9% in Seville, 5% in Valencia and 17% in the other Spanish provinces.
