A positive trend change begins in locations where national demand is predominant, such as Huelva, Granada, Tarragona, Manga del Mar Menor, Almeria or south of Pontevedra. The report Housing in Costa 2018 of Tinsa shows that the positive evolution of prices spreads along the Spanish coast. In 104 of the 147 coastal municipalities analyzed in the report, the average price increased in the 12 months between the first quarter of 2017 and the first quarter of 2018, compared to the 84 municipalities that had risen in the last year in the report from last year.
The coasts where the holiday home market shows clear signs of recovery are located in the Canary Islands, Mallorca and Ibiza, Costa del Sol, north and south of the province of Alicante, the coast of Cadiz between Tarifa and Conil, as well as El Maresme and surroundings of Barcelona. On the contrary, the reactivation is more delayed in the Coruña coast, Asturias and Cantabria, Castellón, Algeciras and north of Tenerife.
