This decrease breaks slightly the trend registered in the last three quarters, when had been registered clear increases in rental prices: 3.1% in the fourth quarter of 2016, 5.9% in the first quarter of this year and a 2.3% in the second quarter.
“This quarterly fall shows the trend toward the standardization of rental price. Although in year-on-year terms it continues to grow at a strong rate, our price index reflects quarterly and monthly drops typical of the adjustment of this market, that has won a lot of weight in our country”, explains Beatriz Toribio, Head of Research at Fotocasa.
