Specifically, in Madrid, this sector is the third that contracts more space, and in the case of Barcelona, it is the sector that leads the hiring of offices, with 21% of demand. This is due to the high profitability of the sector and its high employability rates in recent years. This is what is stated in the study "The future of work environments in the ICT sector" published by CBRE.
Currently, both Madrid and Barcelona are two major spots of technological talent and ICT companies are one of the main drivers of the recovery of their office markets. In this sense, Madrid and Catalonia host 33% and 23% of the ICT companies in Spain, respectively, followed by Andalusia and the Valencian Community.
