Among the outstanding operations of the quarter is the leasing of 9,300 m² by the travel company Avoris in the Milenium Building in Campo de las Naciones, as well as the rent by Allfunds Bank of the Merlin Properties building on the Cuesta de the Dominicans of Madrid. On the other hand, it keeps appreciating the growth in demand by companies such as Regus, WeWork, Utopicus or Loom House, suppliers of flexible offices and coworking spaces, which have rented more than 18,500 m² in the last three months.
The vacant surface in the Madrid market is around 1.3 million m² at the end of March. This number represents 10.4% of the total office park, which represents a decrease of seven tenths regarding the previous quarter and almost two points compared to the same period of 2017. During these months have been completed the works in progress of five buildings, a total of 34,000 m², of which more than 10,000 were already pre-let.
For the next few months, the commercialization of three new construction buildings stands out, developed by three large owners such as Colonial, Merlin and GMP, which will add almost 45,000 m² of high quality to the stock in Madrid.
