The European fund of variable, core and diversified capital has investors from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, USA and Australia. To date, the fund has managed to raise capital of approximately €1000 million.
Since it was launched, in March 2016, the fund has consolidated an initial portfolio of high-quality assets worth €940 million, and will soon close two other operations. This portfolio offers to investors direct access to €1,600 million in real estate assets in the most dynamic and resilient European cities. This latest capital raising represents another €550 million in total investment capacity to acquire other assets in the retail, industrial and office sectors.
Andrew Rich, manager of the European Cities Fund, noted that "this capital raising is a clear sign of investor confidence in both the fund's strategy, focused on cities, and our ability to successfully invest capital and take advantage of our extensive local network in Europe. Our approach, based on the analysis and which stands out for emphasizing the long-term demographic and structural trends, is ideal for investors, as it goes beyond short-term cycles in order to generate income and long-term growth”.
