The transaction was concluded about 5 months after Swiss Life revealed that the acquisition process was already taking place.
The building is located at numbers 177 to 189 in Calle Almogàvers, within Barcelona’s tech district @22. It has 8.524 sqm spread across 3 floors above the ground, one underground floor and a 600 sqm terrace.
This recently refurbished building is the headquarters of French Criteo, which signed a long-term leasing contract in mid-2018 according to newspaper Expansión.
This transaction had the participation of Cushman & Wakefield which advised German Freo in the selling process. In a release, Jason Clark, capital markets partner in Spain for the consultant, mentioned that «we are proud to have been involved in Freo’s full real estate cycle, having advised the acquisition, structured the pre-lease and brokered the sale».
