This capital amplification will be completed via the emission and placement of 91.2 million shares worth a nominal one euro each, with an emission premium of 0.25 euros per share, according to news from Eje Prime. This capital expansion is aimed at increasing the asset portfolio of the socimi, valued at more than 730 million euros.
According to the source, Zambal Spain has called a shareholders meeting for 26th June next in Madrid, where the green light will be given for this capital injection and the incorporation of the shares derived from the increased capital on the Mercado Alternativo Bursatil (MAB).
So far in the financial year, Zambal has not bought a single asset. The last to enter the portfolio was the head office of Gas Natural in Madrid, for which it paid 120 million euros. However, it started to collect assets in June 2013, with a commercial building at 23 de Plaza Catalunya, in Barcelona, of which the tenant was El Corte Inglés.
In December 2015, Zambal launched on MAB with capital of almost 600 million euros, thereby becoming the tenth socimi to take this leap. Additionally, in recent years, Zambal has carried out the disinvestment of non-strategic assets, Eje Prime reports.
