The British operator, which had, up until now, two natural and one artificial indoor snow slopes, adds a fourth establishment, one of the largest indoor snow stations in the world and one of a kind in Europe.
The snow slope, located at the Madrid Xanadú shopping and leisure centre (Madrid), which belonged to intu Properties and Nuveen Real Estate, is now part of group Snozone Holdings following an agreement signed at the beginning of February. The operation was carried out for a nominal buying price with the commitment of a minimum 15 year leasing contract.
«We would like to thank the current owners; intu and Nuveen Real Estate for the easiness of the transaction and for developing a successful business which has a bright future ahead of it. We are very anxious about working with Javier and his team, who have had a trajectory of great success and offer an exceptional experience to their clients», declared a spokesperson for Snozone.
Madrid SnowZone has more than 18.000 sqm in tracks on the inside. There are more than 10.000 free parking spots, 210 of which reserved to disabled people. You can practice ski or snowboard freely, learn with teachers or try out tobogan and snowbikes available for the general public.
The snow slope is located only 15 minutes away from the centre of Madrid, within Madrid’s municipality of Arroyomolinos. It can be reached by motorway Extremadura A6, by the M50 or by public transport.
