Designed from scratch, this building follows a hybrid co-living concept, oriented towards students and young professionals. According to Smart Studios, this is «fundamental equipment which will support the high demand for non-touristic accommodation, boosted by the recent opening of the Nova School of Business and Economics from Universidade Nova and the opening of new courses from the NCI Academy (Nato Communications and Information Academy)».
With this new opening, the company will now operate 513 studios directly. The next opening will take place in September, a new building in Santa Apolónia, with 114 units.
Following this model, and with an investment plan of more than 100 million euro, Smart Studios has 1.500 new studios on the pipeline under construction and/or licensing, expected to be concluded until 2023, for a total of more than 2.000 studios.
These include 634 studios within two buildings in the Alta de Lisboa area, 268 studios at Areeiro and 310 Studios at Ajuda, all in Lisbon. In Porto, 243 studios will be installed in a building in Asprela.
