SIMAPRO 2019
Like the first one, this edition will have a hybrid format (virtual and face to face) and will address the sector’s new normal in terms of investment.
Extraordinary and unpredictable events such as the current pandemic question the anti-cycle nature of the real estate business? Has the moment arrived to rethink new ways of creating value for real estate assets? These are some of the questions to be debated by Leticia Ponz (Union Investment), Vanessa Gelado (Hines) and Ernesto Tarazona (Servihabitat) during the first session of the second day of the SIMAPRO Live Show.
The next round table will debate another very hot question, whether the liquidity generated by the low-interest rates and the boosts from the central banks are enough to keep ensuring real estate maintains its condition as a haven. This subject will be debated by José Luis Suárez (IESE), Jordi Argemí (Neinor Homes), Daniel Caballero (Caixabank), Alberto Nin Garaizabal (Brookfield Asset Management) and Consuelo Villanueva (ST Sociedad de Tasación).
Covid will remain the guiding thread for the third round table, where Roger Cooke (RICS Spain), Marta Cladera de Codina (Nuveen), Esther Escapa (Axa Investment Managers) and Juan Pepa (Stoneshield Capital) will debate the settings investors are facing in this «new normal».
The day’s final round table will focus on the predictable scenarios for the economic recovery and which factors may contribute to accelerate or slow it down. Questions such as the real impact of the economic standstill caused by the pandemic, the boost the European Recovery Fund will bring or what type of recovery will take place in Spain will be the themes to be debated during this session by Carolina Roca Castillo (Grupo Roca), Gonzalo García Andrés (AFI), Ignacio de la Torre (Arcano Economic Research) and Raymond Torres (Funcas).
