The land was acquired last December, mentions Spanish Rea Estate. One of them comprises 8 hectares for the development of a logistic warehouse of 46,000 m2 in the park Puerta Maur-Los Gavilanes, near Madrid. The area already hosts companies such as Decathlon, CostCo or Amazon, noting "a relative lack of buildings of more than 40,000 m2 in the Madrid market", refers the same newspaper.
In Sant Esteve Sesrovires, the fund bought a plot of 8 hectares, 35km from Barcelona, where it will develop another logistic project of 51,000 m2. In this area there’s also a lack of modern and quality warehouses.
Segro is already one of the main logistics investors in Spain, concentrating a portfolio of 255,000 m2.
