Company for the management of assets proceeding from restructuring of the banking system (Sareb) sold Hotel San Valero in Zaragoza. The sale was carried out through an open competitive process and was finished with a 1.5 million euro transaction, according to newspaper elPeriódico de Aragón.
The hotel has two stars and 31 rooms. It is located at calle Manifestación, 450 metres away from Basílica del Pilar and it was built in 1936. It was refurbished in 2006 and used during the Expo, but it closed its doors in 2011, because of the financial crisis. After closing down, the building was occupied by a group of homeless people, but a court from Zaragoza forced their eviction.
