The transaction had already been agreed in September 2016, comprising the fund’s acquisition of this property and another office block also situated in the riverside zone of Lisbon, in a ‘key in hand’ operation.
Dedicated to office use, the Edifício D. Luís I has a total area of 10,279m² and 146 parking spaces. It was recently renovated by The Edge Group and is totally occupied Farfetch and Sitel, the main tenants. There is also a Fitness Hut gymnasium, Origem cafeteria and Leap Center. an office centre for PMEs.
Luís Pinto Basto, CEO of the The Edge Group, stated in a release that, “The partnership between The Edge Group and Rockspring is evidence of the strong attractiveness of the Lisbon riverside zone as an alternative to the tendency for urban renewal, and the lack of office space in the city.”
