This retail park, located in Camargo, Santander, near shopping centre Valle Real, has a GLA of around 21.000 sqm, 800 parking spots and will be managed by consultant Gentalia, which reported the news in a release.
Amongst the brands that should occupy this new retail park are Mercadona, Ocine, Sports Direct, Pause & Play, Basic Fit, Maisons du Monde, Millby, JYSK, Eggo Kitchen, Tiendanimal, Muerde La Pasta and KFC, with this being, for some of them, their first opening in Cantabria. For Gonzalo Gómez, «the project had a great reception, despite the unusual year we’ve been living. Up until now we have contracted more than 97% of the GLA and we expect to reach 100% occupancy soon», he added.
Bahía Real was thus added to the list of shopping centres and retail parks to open during the pandemic and it will boost the region’s economy, with the creation of 400 direct jobs.
With Bahía Real, there are now 5 large retail parks managed by Gentalia in Spain (Rivas Futura in Madrid, Parque Abadía in Toledo, Vidanova Park in Sagunto and Vistahermosa in Alicante), with a total combined GLA of 213.000 sqm and more than 200 commercial stores.
