The state of the sector in Portugal, as well as the opportunities of development common to both Portugal and Spain will be the main sunjects in discussion at the session «Why Portugal», presented by the secretary general of APCC (Portuguese Association of Shopping Centres), Pedro Teixeira and which brings to the stage the shared experience of some well known names from the industry in our country. Francisco Cavaleiro Ferreira, Iberian Managing Director of Multi Corporation, is the moderator of the event, which will also host Alexandre Fernandes, Head of Investments and Asset Management from Sonae Sierra, Bill Judge, Director of RPE – Retail Partners Europe, Rui Vacas, Asset Management Director of Ceetrus Portugal and Eric Van Leuven, managing partner of Cushman & Wakefield Portugal.
Apart from that, Portugal will also have its own stand at the commercial exhibition that is part of the event, and where several companies will present the most significant innovations in the market. The goal of this partnership,explains AECC, is to «consolidate the bonds that already exist between both markets, and also to falcilitate the access to new players and to network».
Presided by Ismael Clemente, CEO of Merlin Properties, the XVIth Meeting from the Spanish Association of Shopping Centres and Business Parks hosts more than a thousand participants from the whole Iberian Peninsula. «Shopping Centres 4.0» is the main motto of this year’s edition, setting the theme for the debate around the sector’s future and the way forward to meet the consumers new demands.
