This future transaction – which might become the largest operation of the year within this segment in Spain, according to El Economista – should be advised by consultant Colliers and it will guarantee that the management of these hotels will remain with Blue Sea.
Portobello took control of these hotels in the Summer of 2017, by buying the majority of the hotel chain’s shares. Blue Sea currently offers 3.300 rooms in several locations across the country such as Mallorca, Lloret del Mar, Costa del Sol and Fuerteventura.
Since then the hotel chain accelerated its growth, revealed the newspaper. In just 3 years, it acquired 6 more hotels located in the main Spanish seaside resorts. It invested more than 40 million euro in these operations.
