This guarantee was given by Pedro Baganha, councilman for Urbanism at the Porto Municipality, who spoke this Monday during the latest «O Roteiro da Retoma» (The Route to Recovery) webinar which had as its main theme «C.M. Porto e o Urbanismo Digital» (Porto Municipality and Digital Urbanism)».
According to the councilman, this is a path to follow since «we are passing a good image of our country, and Porto remains interesting for foreign investment». «We have a stimulating city project», he believes, further highlighting that «we have our own arguments within the European mid-sized cities».
The councilman also mentioned that procedural protocol in terms of urbanism in Porto is currently much more accelerated than it was 6 years ago because since the beginning of April it has an average of 65 processed projects per week. Pedro Baganha thus considers that digitisation «is a bet won» in times of pandemic.
This initiative was organised by APPII, VI and Ci and featured Artur Varum, Civilria’s CEO; Diogo Barbosa, Administrator at Lucios; Cláudia Beirão Lopes, Head of Licensing at Sonae Sierra; Hugo Santos Ferreira, executive vice-president at APPII; António Gil Machado, director at VI, and Ricardo Guimarães, director at Ci.
