The «high» number of operations concluded during the first three months, allowed for the office investment in Spain to reach 1.000 million euro during the first half of the year, representing 80% of all investment. The pandemic impacted the segment by halting operations between April and June.
With the economy’s restart, real estate also started recovering and currently «there are already 60 ongoing operations representing a potential investment volume of 3.700 million euro», revealed Savills Aguirre Newman within its "Office Pulse" initiative. According to the calculations of the consultant’s executive director in charge of offices Hipólito Sánchez, «with 1.200 million euro currently under due diligence, we estimate an end of the year total investment of around 2.500 - 3.000 million euro».
Concerning the type of operations, Hipólito Sánchez highlighted the «dominance of core and core+ operations and international investors, with around 75% of all operations and that 62% of the traded volume was registered in Madrid».
