This remarkable growth places Metropolitan Madrid 1.9% above the average in Spain, which registers a 5.4% increase over 2017, according to the results from “Estudio de Vivienda Nueva en Madrid” (Study of New Housing in Madrid) carried out by Sociedad de Tasación.
The study’s data broken by district show that Salamanca remains the district with the highest prices. At the end of 2018, the average price for new housing in this district reached 5.643€/sqm, followed by Chamberí with 5.286 €/sqm, and, in the third place, the Centro district, where the average price was 4.668 €/sqm.
