The information was confirmed by the company last week to Vida Imobiliária and is included in a note sent to Autoridade da Concorrência (Competition Authority) on the 15th of October. The document further clarifies that this operation was carried out through the acquisition of 100% of RPFI Aveiro - Sociedade Imobiliária S.A.’s capital stock, the company in charge of «exploring, developing and managing the asset».
The 17.500 sqm shopping centre has 76 shops, 56 apartments, leisure areas and a suspended garden. It also has a parking facility for its customers.
Property EU announced last September that both companies were about to close the deal for around 90 million euro. However, that amount was not confirmed in the document now made available by the Competition Authority.
Forúm Aveiro is officially the 9th shopping centre owned by Mundicenter, subsidiary of Grupo Alves Ribeiro. Its portfolio currently includes the Amoreiras Shopping Center, the Centro Comercial de Alvalade and the Spacio Shopping, in Lisbon; the Arena Shopping, in Torres Vedras; the Oeiras Parque; the Braga Parque; the Strada Outlet, in Odivelas, and the Campus São João, in Porto.
