“These numbers are in line with what was predicted and confirm the good health of both offer and demand in the residential market”, states Eloy Bohúa, CEO of Planner Exhibitions, company that organises SIMA’s trade fairs. Also the fact that 9 out of every 10 houses for sale were off plan is an indicator that confidence in the recovery of the residential business is here to stay, it is not just a passing trend”, concludes Bohúa.
In this year’s SIMA Otoño’s edition, exhibitors from nearly one hundred companies took part, 5% more than in 2017, with 25.000 houses for sale, a quarter of the total amount of houses sold in our country last year. 80% of this residential offer were first houses and the rest, tourist accommodation, located mainly in Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca.
Madrid and its autonomous community were once again the driving force behind SIMA Otoño, with two of every three houses for sale at the trade fair. Almeria, Alicante, Malaga and Castellon, by this order, close the Top Five of regions with higher residential offer at SIMA Otoño.
