According to what market sources confirmed to newspaper Cinco Días, the group expects to close the deal before the end of the year for about 60 million euro, which means that each square metre will cost around 3.000 euro. Real estate consultant Colliers is in charge of managing this transaction, according to the same newspaper.
When we add these parcels to the terrain where football club Atletico de Madrid’s stadium was located, the total area reaches 120.000 sqm. Both the club and the Spanish company own 3 equal parcels within this mega property which, in Spain, is known as Operation Mahou-Calderón.
Atlético de Madrid expects to sell the Vicente Calderón Stadium’s terrains, which have been on the market since 2017, starting this month for the highest bid.
The Spanish capital municipality has already green lighted the old stadium’s demolition and according to the Spanish newspaper, there have already been advances concerning the housing part, since there are signs that point to the construction license being ready by 2020.
