This is a plan that remained shelved for two decades and which includes the development of an urban complex which will host 10.476 dwellings next to the Chamartín train station, located North of the Spanish capital. According to newspaper Eje Prime, 24% of those dwellings will be protected by the Spanish State.
Within the 2.65 million sqm area, other types of assets are also expected to be built, such as student residences, offices and commercial spaces. According to Spanish newspaper CincoDías, if the project designed by Distrito Castellana Norte obtains the green light during the next general meeting, the first stone should be laid down between 2020 and 2021.
