The company’s goal is to have 2.700 studios in Portugal within the next 6 years, for a total investment of 125 million euro. The goal will be reached thourgh this partnership with the insitutional investor, which has been in the Portuguese market since 2014.
Smart Studios was created in 2015 and it already has about 200 studios operating in the market. 460 more units will start to be built this year, for a total of 700 studios on the pipeline until the end of 2020, with the Carcavelos project being the largest the group has. In this project, 301 student appartments will be created, taking advantage of the location near Nova SBE’s new campus and NATO’s new communications’s school.
A building in Santa Apolónia is also already under construction, with 114 studios, as well as a group of buildings in Ajuda, which will be converted into 73 small appartments.
