The operation will see CaixaBank transfer this portfolio’s control to Lone Star, and the European Comission considers that there are no competition issues with this deal, «given the limited impact in the market’s structure», refers a press release from the Comission. In the same document, quoted by Negócios, it is remarked that «the transaction was examined under the simplified procedure».
This sale, announced in June, involves assets from October 2017 classified as available to sell. Servihabitat is also part of the operation, according to the same source. The operation includes the creation of a new company which will own these assets and of which Lone Star will own 80% and CaixaBank will own 20%.
