The operation guarantees to the Spanish leading long term care company the residences’ management under a leasing regime for the next 25 years. The two senior residences are located in the provinces of Valladolid (235 beds) and Zamora (169 beds).
Lagune, has with this operation 18 senior residences in Spain operated by Spanish market leader DomusVi, operador with whom it consolidates in this way its strategic alliance. This alliance started in February 2017 when Lagune acquired 16 senior residences in Spain from DomusVi (former SARquavitae) in a sale & leaseback operation.
Philippine Derycke, Batipart’s representative in Spain, remarks that «the acquisition of these two residences is part of our long term real estate investment strategy both in the healthcare and the tourism sectors, forming alliances with European operators such as is the case of the alliance Lagune has with DomusVi, the Spanish leader in long term care services».
