The resort will have a golf course with 27 holes, hotels, villas and apartments, with an expected construction of 460 units, of which 103 will be exclusive villas and 357 will be apartments, with a 5.7% construction density within the 200 hectares which compose it.
The resort will also include a new Clubhouse and two 5 star hotels, one of which is already operating, with 20 rooms and the other, with 152 rooms, is being developed, besides other sports and leisure infrastructures.
Rui Meneses Ferreira, Partner at Kronos Homes in Portugal, remarked during the project’s presentation that «it is with great enthusiasm that we initiate this project from Kronos Homes in Portugal. Palmares is a privileged area, located between the Bay of Lagos and the Alvor river estuary, where the natural beauty and the dashing landscapes join an elegant and unique architecture. We hope that our visitors will find in Palmares a quiet, exceptional and truly inspiring location».
During the occasion, Paulo Reis, vice-president of the Lagos municipality, stated that «it is an ambitious program, marked by excellence and high quality standards, but we are certain that – as has been the case so far – the developers’ commitment, the expertise of the technical teams involved, the availability and openness of the Lagos municipality and the assumption that we are all partners seeking the best solutions, will allow the development of something unique that the location, the municipality and the Algarve, deserve. After launching this first stone, I would risk saying that the best is yet to come».
It should be reminded that Kronos Homes arrived in Portugal last year. Besides Palmares, it has 4 other projects in the pipeline in our country, one of them in Lisbon and two in the Algarve.
