One of the assets it acquired was Caldas Retail Park, for more than 2.7 million euro. Inaugurated at the end of 2020, it includes stores like Espaço Casa, Seaside or JOM itself. The Guimarães Retail Park, inaugurated in 2008, was bought for 3 million euro.
JOM also acquired a 17.000 sqm terrain in Torres Vedras, next to shopping centre Arena Shopping. JOM intends to develop a new commercial project in here.
This deal was advised by real estate asset and credit management company Altamira. João Ribeiro, director of Real Estate at the company, commented that «these purchases are the result of a process wanted by both sellers and buyer, in which all parties achieved their goals. These processes are also beneficial for the assets, which are revitalised and obtain new opportunities».
He added that «this bet from JOM is a sign that, despite the impact caused by Covid-19, the retail segment, in terms of investment, can be attractive and offer opportunities at this stage».
