Grupo de Companhias Johnson & Johnson (J&J) sold its former headquarters at Queluz de Baixo, to Lusomedicamenta – Sociedade Técnica Farmacêutica S.A., Portuguese company owned by Recipharm AB group, a pharmaceutical company.
The building is located at number 60 Estrada Consiglieri Pedroso, in Queluz de Baixo. It has a total area of 7.200 sqm.
CBRE advised the sale of this asset, on behalf of Janssen, pharmaceutical company owned by Grupo de Companhias J&J. André Almada, Senior Director Offices Advisory & Transaction at CBRE, commented in a release that «Lisbon’s metropolitan area’s real estate market continues to assume a prominent role. This building hosted Grupo de Companhias Johnson & Johnson’s headquarters for more than 20 years».
According to André Almada, «with CBRE’s contribution, the building will start a new history. With this operation, we reinforce the support provided to our clients by seeking and identifying the best opportunities and sharing what is our daily commitment».
Acquired in 2014 by Recipharma, Lusomedicamenta was established in 2004 through an operation which involved J&J buying paintings in exchange for its production business in Portugal. Two lots that belonged to Grupo de Companhias Johnson & Johnson between 1996 and 2004, will now be reattached to it.
