The company is specialized in financing 1 to 10 million euro projects and has already performed about 10 operations worth 20 million euro. This year, it intends to finance 50 million euro.
Izilend «offers financing which is alternative and complementary to traditional financing and which is fast and flexibile when compared to other market players», whether in housing, offices, retail or terrain projects. With the services it offers, «clients can channel their own limited funds to several projects simultaneously without having to stop looking for other options in the market as well as keeping control over the capital avoiding the need to have finance partners», explains the company in a release.
For Francisco Jonet, joint manager for IZILEND in Spain, «we are a differentiated company which offers real estate developers and investors a solution to develop their projects which tradtional banking is unable to offer due to the type of product or decision times. So far we have financed a wide range of projects from small developers to REITs and from terrains to building complexes located in different provinces throughout Spain».
Gonzalo Gutiérrez de Mesa, joint manager for IZILEND in Spain, assures that «we are creating a new niche where we believe there is great potential. We predict that in 5 years alternative financing demand will double, gradually approaching the market penetration rates in the more mature European markets, where this type of financing represents between 30% and 40% of the entire market».
