Sources from Aliseda advanced to local newspaper La Voz de Lugo that this shopping centre, which is currently 100% unoccupied, spiked the interest of the market’s players. The asset’s price was not disclosed, but it is known that the project which created the shopping centre 5 years ago cost around 90 million euro.
The 81.766 sqm shopping centre has 60 shops and 1.700 parking spots. In 2015, Abella opened its doors with the majority of its spaces open, but as time went by, only one tenant remained in the shopping centre, restaurant Burger King.
Given the current low level of occupancy and the challenges presented by the pandemic, Aliseda, which owns this asset since 2017, considered changing the shopping centre’s use. «We are analysing the asset to see which users can be given to the Abella», mentioned the company currently controlled by Blackstone (51%) and Banco Santander (49%).
