Inmobiliaria Espacio and Unicaja will participate in the project through the company Espacio Medina, of which the real estate of the Villar Mir Group controls 70% of the capital, while the remaining 30% is in the hands of Acinipo, of the Unicaja group.
Espacio Medina has 20% of the company Nueva Marina Real Estate (NUMA), owner of the rights to these lands. The remaining 80% is in the hands of the Ginkgo fund that acquired the entire project from Endesa at the end of 2017 through its subsidiary Ginkgo Participations II.
NUMA will build more than 800 houses on the land of the old thermal power station in Malaga, as well as commercial space, offices and a hotel with a total area of more than 115,000 square meters. Espacio Medina will be responsible for the subsequent development and commercialization of the project.
