The transaction was advised by JLL’ Hotels & Hospitality Group, representing the buyer. Karina Simões, Vice-President at Portugal from JLL’ Hotels & Hospitality Group, says that «alongside the institutional investors, the hotel operators themselves are a major fringe of demand in the investment market of hotels, with assets acquisition strategies as a way of expanding its operation in certain tourist destinations, as this transaction illustrates».
She also stipulates that «at a time when tourism presents record indicators and has very interesting growth prospects, hotel transactions are expected to continue growing this year, on the part of the investors and of the operators».
