Aquila Capital en España y Europa’s logistic development department will build two key-in-hand logistic warehouses with 15.000 sqm and 100.000 sqm, 12 meters headroom and «wide manoeuvre areas». True to its name, the sustainability criteria will be present during construction through plans to compensate CO2 emissions, solar panels on the roofs for self-sufficient energy and a BREEAM certification.
According to a release by Aquila Capital, the future logistic units «offer a great location for all types of companies», since they are not only 15 km away from the centre of Seville, but also have good connections to cities such as Madrid, Malaga, Lisbon and Cadiz.
On choosing this location, Sven Schoel, CEO at AQ Acentor, Aquila Capital’s developer in charge of the project, explained that «Seville is one of our preferred locations within the Spanish market, with great development capabilities due to its strategic location and its excellent connections with the South of the Peninsula. The marketing of this new logistic space, already undergoing, will bring us closer to the interest of big companies which feel the need to relocate to this part of Spain».
This is the second asset Green Logistics buys in Spain after the Illescas Green Logistics Park, in Toledo, with more than 470.000 sqm.
The truth is that there is, right now, a boom in demand for logistic units, Green Logistics by Aquila Capital does not intend to stop here: «this acquisition follows our investment plans, which remain stable and with new projects on the horizon despite the complicated economic and social scenario», added Sven Schoel.
The company has more than 8 years of activity and an investment track record of more than 720 million euro in different projects developed across several countries in Europe, such as Italy, Portugal, Germany and Spain.
