The project consists of 11 parcels with a total combined buildable area of 108.457 sqm, located next to the Barajas airport.
This is where Goodman plans to develop its Goodman Madrid Gate logistic complex which should include three office buildings – to be constructed following sustainable criteria –, along with 38.000 sqm of cross dockings or 50.000 sqm of standard logistics, advanced Ignacio García Cuenca, Country Manager at Goodman Spain, to newspaper El Economista. The construction works are expected to start at the beginning of next year.
This was the latest operation carried out by the global group specialised in logistics, which was advised by Pérez-Llorca, and intends to satisfy the needs of the Spanish logistic market. But this is not the only asset the group has in the country, since it has a set of assets with a total combined area of 155.000 sqm plus 244.000 sqm under development. For Goodman, Spain became a «very important market in Europe, since the ecommerce segment has been growing at a pace of around 20% per year», added Ignacio García Cuenca.
