In an innovative approach to the market, JLL attributed the position of Business Developer to Gonçalo Valente, who joined the company at the end of 2019, through Tétris. Hired then to assume the direction of the newly created Hotels department of the consultancy's architecture and construction branch, Gonçalo Valente extended in 2020 his functions as Tétris' Business Developer and now assumes the same position at JLL.
With a cross-cutting presence in the various areas in which the company operates, JLL's Business Developer will have the mission of capturing new business opportunities for the consultant. This position comes under the One JLL strategy, which proposes an integrated provision of services, accompanying customers in all needs related to their property.
«The main foundation of this position is to focus the search for new business opportunities for JLL in a unique interlocutor that identifies the clients that can most benefit from an integrated strategy to answer their real estate needs, whether they are investors, owners, occupants or developers », Comments Pedro Lancastre, CEO of JLL Portugal.

Gonçalo Valente has a vast professional career, both nationally (Mainland Portugal and Azores) and internationally (Republic of Ireland), with more than 20 years. He started his career in 1997 and remained for 15 years linked to important construction companies such as Somague Engenharia (1999-2012) and Construtora Abrantina (1997-1999), in which he worked as Project Director, Project Manager and Coordinator of important projects. Between 2012 and 2015 he joined companies related to the water and health sector, in the functions of Executive Director (at FAGAR) and Advisor to the Administration (at AGS). Before joining Tétris, he spent four years in the role of Technical Director of Habitat Project-Project Management.
Gonçalo Valente is a Civil Engineer from Instituto Superior Técnico, having also carried out the Advanced Management Program for Executives at the Catholic University (2008/2009), in addition to having several technical qualification courses in the areas of work management and information technologies.
