According to news agency Lusa and based on data from SEF (Portuguese Foreigners and Borders Service), the drop, when compared with the previous month, was 4.2%. In May 82 visas were issued, of which 74 were related to the purchase of real estate and of these, 6 were for urban renewal.
Since the beginning of the year, the aggregated investment reached 299.2 million euro, 30% less than during the same period of 2018. Since 2012 4.549 million euro were invested, 4.116 million euro through the acquisition of real estate, for a total of 12.746 ARI (Residence Permit for Investment Activity) issued mostly to Chinese, Brazilian, Turkish and South-African nationals.
