The shopping centres are: the Puerto Venecia shopping centre, located in Zaragoza, and the Intu Asturias shopping centre, located in Oviedo, both were placed on the market by British Intu in June together with 50% of the Xanadú shopping centre.
This offer was launched through the 500 million euro investment vehicle specialised in the segment Axis Retail Partners. And, according to Spanish El Confidencial, is one of Intu’s favorite offers. Another offer that pleased the British company, was German company ECE’s offer. CPPIB, a shareholder on both shopping centres, did not exercise its priority purchase right, thus staying out of the race.
Consultant CBRE and bank UBS represented Intu in this operation, according to the same newspaper.
