In order to achieve this goal, the company controlled by Global Logistics Properties intends to acquire new logistic assets in Spain. It will invest particularly in Madrid and Barcelona, but also in other cities such as Valencia, Malaga and Seville.
The company currently has only three assets of this type in the country: one with 40.000 sqm in the province of Toledo, another with 50.000 sqm in Guadalajara and a third one with 30.000 sqm in Tarragona.
The company’s goals overseas extend even further. Aiming at an «ambitious, but sustainable growth», Oscar Heras, director for Gazeley in Spain believes that within three or four years, the company will have the potential to become «one of the three leading logistic operators in Europe».
