Forum Barreiro is looking for a new owner for a value of 26.5 million euros. The announced value was confirmed by the portuguese newspaper Público.
First inaugurated in 2008, the asset is part of a residential development consisting of four housing blocks, in an old industrial area. It has 18,992 sqmm distributed over 90 stores, with areas for restaurants, cinema, gym and supermarket.
The property had already been put up for sale by Millennium bcp in 2019. In July of that year, it announced JLL as a partner in the commercial strategy of the property, owned by Multi 24 - managed by Interfundos.
The center is managed by MVGM, a Dutch asset management company that arrived to Portugal in December 2019, after the acquisition of JLL's Property Management business in Europe.
In Portugal, it is responsible for a portfolio of 75 assets with a global area of more than 850,000 sqm. In addition to Forum Barreiro, MVGM is also responsible for the management of Campera Outlet, in Carregado; the Palácio Sotto Mayor, in Lisbon, the Ferrera Plaza, in Paços de Ferreira, the NOS Building, in Lisbon, or the Zenith building, in Oeiras.
