This transaction was carried out through the purchase of 50% of the shares from Sociedad Valdemoro Living Developments by subscribing a total 194.935 shares for 9.8 million euro. This amount was paid using the Spanish REIT’s own resources, it can be read in the release issued by BME Growth.
The same document stated that this society is «the owner of 10 registered properties located in Valdemoro, within Prado-Estación on which the development known as “Jardines del Portillo” is being executed».
This project is described as a garden city which should offer 688 dwellings for rental spread across more than 50.000 sqm. The project also includes more than 3.000 sqm for commercial areas and amongst the services, it will offer, are included restaurants, co-working, gyms, supermarkets, childcare, hairdressing, cultural spaces for new artists, music and language schools, banks and healthcare services.
Sustainability is one of the project’s strategic vectors. On its official webpage, it can be read that «Jardines del Portillo is committed towards the environment and it will be developed using sustainable construction systems so as to obtain an «A» energy efficiency certification». Proof of that is the company’s concern with the air quality circuits and the creation of green and sports areas.
