The new warehouse will occupy 2.000 sqm and will be installed within a 9.000 sqm parcel. It will allow for the simultaneous loading of up to 40 vans, located in two fingers, extendable to up to 60 vans. It will also feature a sorting belt capable of handling 3.000 items/hour, extending the current capacity to meet the market’s demand and the growth of e-commerce.
DHL Express España y Portugal’s CEO, Miguel Borrás, stated that «we maintain our strong bet in improving our infrastructures and their technology. Following our investments in other provinces such as Alava, Barcelona, Malaga, Madrid, San Sebastian, Santander and Tarragona, we will improve our facilities in Zaragoza, since Aragon is a crucially important region for our network».
Since 2002, Grupo DHL has had one other warehouse within the same logistic platform, on a 23.000 sqm parcel.
