David Regades made a technical visit in which he met with different operators in urban regeneration and sustainable construction, among them the Minister of Environment and Energy Transition, Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes; the president of the CPCI, Portuguese construction and real estate confederation, Manuel Reis; as well as the administrator of the Santa Casa de Lisboa, Ana Vitória Azevedo; and the director of Heritage of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lisbon, Helena Lucas, in addition to coinciding with the mayor of Lisbon, Fernando Medina.
The state delegate took advantage of the trip to visit the XL Factory center, an industrial rehabilitation project that has allowed an old textile factory in Lisbon to be filled with activity.
Regades explained that "in Zona Franca we are in the process of putting ideas for urban recovery projects on the table and all ideas on sustainable rehabilitation are well received".
The Lisbon Urban Rehabilitation Week celebrates its eighth edition this week. It is an event organized by Vida Imobiliária, where the country's national vision for urban rehabilitation and regeneration is discussed - and it is the most relevant event in this field in the cities of the Iberian Peninsula, which brings together all the actors in an environment of debate and knowledge. It has the support of the Lisbon Chamber and the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lisbon.
