On the coming 30th of January, CBRE will hold the 4th edition of the conference Tendências do Imobiliário (Trends in Real Estate), which will focus on the market trends for the new year. For now, it attests that «there is a sustained and healthy cross-sectional demand from investors which will allow the development and trade of several projects from offices to housing to hotels and the new living concepts».
Francisco Horta e Costa predicts that «rehabilitation will continue its course and we will see an increasing decentralisation of housing projects, in particular in terms of new construction, towards the suburban areas of Lisbon and Porto». He is sure that «there will be no lack of investors in 2020 for real estate on all segments, with the pressure on yields remaining low due to the ongoing low interest rates».
Lisbon will be the main focus for this investment, but it is certain that «Porto is appearing increasingly more under these investors’ radar, as attractive products with the required size and quality in terms of demand are created», added the general manager.
