Antonio Simontalero, Head of Operations at CBRE GI in Portugal and Spain, refers that "2017 was a key year for the company, which, in addition to its leading position in the retail and logistics sector, acquired important assets in other segments, such as student residences or offices”.
CBRE GI carried out one of the most important operations in the logistics sector last year, in the EMEA region, namely, has highlights Antonio Simontalero, the joint venture made with Montepino for the development of a portfolio of over 500,000 m². Also completed the acquisition of Edificio Colón I and the building of nº 18 of Gran Vía, both in Madrid, as well as an office and retail building on Calle de Fontanella in Barcelona.
Last year, CBRE GI reached €12,500 million in transactions in the EMEA region, 7,200 of which related to acquisitions and 5,300 million to sales. About 40% of the acquisitions refer to the retail sector, 30% to the industrial sector and 15% to residential and hotel. At a global level, it added €24,270 million in transactions, 12,700 of which were acquisitions.
2018 is expected to be "an important year" for the company, which adds €1,800 million in agreed acquisitions that will close by the end of the year.
