The building has a total 16.000 sqm and is located at number 1837 Avenida da Boavista, the largest in the city. It is in one of this building’s areas – which currently belongs to Värde Partners – that Duarte Nuno Rodrigues and his 6 professionals’ team, who cover all trading areas (investment, offices, retail, urban renewal and logistic) are now installed.
The opening of these new premises in Porto – where they have been operating for 3 years - «reflects the natural evolution and consolidation of our activity and our team, according to the potential and demand of the market itself, as well as that of our clients and partners», explained the consultant in an interview to VI.
The Porto office, logistic and retail markets have shown a positive trajectory. In the first 7 months of the year alone, the city attracted a total 151 million euro in new investments within these segments, an amount which might double until the end of the year, guaranteed the consultant.
And there are several factors that explain this attraction international investors have for Porto. «The competitive environment is favorable to investment», and the city also gathers «exceptional factors such as quality of life, safety, stable cultural and social environment, competitive and skilled workforce, good infrastructure, joined by a balanced cost of living and the Mediterranean climate which have been decisive to attract foreign and domestic investors and companies», explained the consultant.
From the consultant’s point of view, these same factors should maintain the city’s real estate sector’s dynamics despite «some slowdown being felt in the world’s economy». This means that «the occupational demand (retail, offices, hotels, logistics, housing) when facing the current lack of offer, will motivate the development of new projects and new concepts adjusted to the new trends in terms of demand». And that is why the consultant forecasts «that the real estate market, in the mid-term, will keep offering good investment opportunities on all segments».
