British company Ocado Tecnology leased a building in Barcelona’s tech district to install its new offices in the city. The building, owned by Renta Corporación, has 2.443 sqm plus a 3.179 sqm terrace.
The company has been operating in Barcelona since 2016 as a subsidiary of British company Ocado. Up until now, its offices were located in Josep Tarradellas Avenue. The tech company started the move to its new headquarters at number 112 calle Badajoz, according to The New Barcelona Post.
Renta Coporación has invested more than 10 million euro in the building over the last few years. The building is certified Leed Gold and is one of the company’s first office buildings.
Ocado has just joined the Barcelona Tech City as a global partner. It currently has 175 employees, but it plans to end the year with 200 workers. The company is listed at the London Stock Exchange and operates on hardware and software and developing solutions for the industrial and retail segments through automation, artificial intelligence and big data.
